This is the web area of the Binary Protocol working group.

The purpose of this track is to explore alternatives to the cimXML protocol as defined by the DMTF.

The alternate protocols should be based preferably on existing open standards and must support all operations and facilities currently available via cimXML. The alternate protocols should be more compact and efficient and defined such that they can be incorporated independently into CIM Object Managers, its definition should precise enough to achieve a high degree of interoperability.
